Yes, you can in most cases. In general, the sooner the repairs are completed, the cheaper and better results you will have. Sometimes, conditions can worsen causing damage in greater proportion to time that has elapsed. It is generally understood that by the time you notice a foundation issue that requires repair, you can expect to spend $2.00-$5.00 for every dollar you spend on the foundation repair, above or on other repairs caused by foundation damage. At some point the damage could cause instability in the roof trusses. Doors and windows could eventually become inoperable and the home can be condemned by the City.

Does Bristol FX offer a warranty?

Some products and services are lifetime warranted against failure, other up to a 25 year limited Warranty and some services up to 10 years. Labor is 1-5 years depending on services offered. Be sure to read your proposal or contract to understand the warranty offered for the services being completed.

Is Bristol FX licensed in the State of California and insured?

Yes. Bristol FX has a class “B” General Contractors license with the CSLB. We carry Workers Compensation and General Liability insurance policy with $2 million in coverage.

Bristol FX’s started in Business as Bristol Builders in 2004 with an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau. Bristol is primarily a contractor service large investment and bank clients. We started Bristol FX, to meet the demands of our consumer clients in 2012.

Are your repair estimates FREE?

Normally Yes. There is no charge for your estimate. We will provide you with a detailed proposal to help you make an informed decision. However if your project is currently involved in a real estate transaction a charge does apply. If we perform any repair work on the project, 50% of the estimate charge is refunded.

How long does the inspection take?

Depending on the foundation damage it takes approx. 30 minutes to 45 minutes to perform a complete comprehensive foundation analysis. A detailed proposal may take up to three days to complete. We want 100% accurate and detailed in providing the absolute best repair for your home or property.

After we sign with Bristol FX, when can you start the work?

All projects are scheduled when we receive the signed proposal. Depending on any engineering your project should start on average in about 2 – 3 weeks. Permitting may take longer depending upon the scope of work and the amount of engineering and design required to provide you with a finished project that meets your needs and requirements.

Can I stay at home during the repair process?

Yes. You can occupy the property during the repair process with no interruption. Our team is completely professional and will respect your privacy.

Question 13

Who handles my landscaping damage, if any?

Accepted Answer

Bristol FX normally does not replace any landscaping damaged by the repair process unless you desire our company to do so. This would be under a separate contract. Check your proposal to see what is included in the cost and what is not.
