Sagging Floors

A floor that visibly dips, sags, or feels lower in certain spots is a direct sign that the structural supports beneath it — posts, beams, or floor joists — have weakened, rotted, or shifted out of position.

Floor Joist Sistering & Repair

When floor joists are cracked, split, notched, or weakened by moisture and rot, Bristol FX uses a technique called sistering — attaching new structural lumber directly alongside the damaged joist to restore full load-bearing capacity.

Protect Your Home From Sliding Off Its Foundation

Many older California homes — particularly those built before 1980 — sit on short wood-framed walls called cripple walls that sit between the foundation and the first floor. During an earthquake, these walls can collapse sideways, causing the entire house to slide or topple off its foundation.
